electronic pow wow!
FabCollab presents Indigenous Grooves, a celebration of the urban Indigenous experience, with an all-electronic, all-Indigenous and all-women and non-binary line-up of musical performers. There will also be contemporary and traditional Indigenous singing and dance performances, along with an Indigenous arts market and a fashion show featuring local Indigenous designers.
Three Indigenous Toronto women and leaders in the local arts community – Tamar Ilana, Cotee Harper and Rosary Spence – are carrying forward the torch passed to them by their fathers and urban elders, by throwing an immersive electronic musical experience that redefines what it means to be urban and Indigenous.
